All ICBS email services include a free SMTP server for sending emails. An SMTP server (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is essential for sending your email messages, regardless of the Internet connectivity provider or the device used for sending (smartphone, tablet, PC, etc.). It allows you to avoid ever changing your email sending settings and to send your messages securely from the authenticated mailbox provided for the service.
Configuration and Features
- Host name (SMTP server): smtp.icbs.it
- Authentication: exclusively with SSL protocol, port 465
- Credentials: the same as the incoming mail server (POP/IMAP)
- Sender: must match the authenticated mailbox
- Maximum number of messages per mailbox: 100 per day
- Maximum message size (including attachments): 50 MB
- Messages are not filtered by any antivirus or antispam
If the free SMTP server is not sufficient to meet your email sending needs, you can purchase one of the optional dedicated SMTP services, which offer higher sending limits, ideal for mass email sending, and greater flexibility in use.
