The service allows you to receive email messages even if your mail server (hosted by us or by third parties) is down due to a failure or maintenance. Once the primary mail server is back online, the secondary MX server will deliver the messages to the primary server.
How it works
The service is ideal for those who need to ensure the reliable reception of their emails. In fact, the secondary MX server comes into play when the primary mail server is offline or slow to respond. In such situations, the secondary MX server receives the emails instead of the primary one, and when the primary server comes back online, it delivers the emails to it. This way, even if the primary server is unreachable for a long time, no messages will be lost.
Another important feature of our secondary MX service is its geographical redundancy compared to the primary mail server (i.e., the mail server and the MX server are located in geographically distinct locations). Thanks to this, the probability of a service interruption becomes almost zero.
