Private Whois (com, net, org, info o biz)
ICANN regulations require that the domain owner's data be included in a publicly accessible database: this means that personal data such as the domain owner's email, address, and phone number will be publicly visible. To protect this information from public access and from those who might misuse it, in the case of .com / .net / .org / .info and .biz domains, it is possible to activate the optional Private Whois service, which allows these details to be hidden from public access: personal data will be transformed so that it cannot be used.
Per i domini .it l'opzione Private Whois è selezionabile durante la sottoscrizione del servizio e non ha alcun costo aggiuntivo. In questo caso, all'interno dei dati mostrati da un comando whois sul dominio protetto, rimarranno leggibili solo il nome e il cognome del titolare del nome a dominio e gli altri dati personali non saranno visualizzati.
